Protecting The Environment One Acre at a time

Globally, Africa is seen as a continent particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The anticipated detrimental impacts associated with the environmental challenge of climate change will ultimately modify Africa’s economies and livelihoods, health, social structure, infrastructure and natural systems. To date little has been done to empower, capacitate and mobilise youth, particularly in Africa to address global environmental challenges such as climate change.

To remedy this, YVE Ghana has been leading the youth front in engaging the youth, stakeholders and civil society organisations in climate change advocacy, capaccity building and dialogue.

COP 17 CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE IN DURBAN

The United Nations Climate Change Conference, Durban 2011, brought together representatives of the world’s governments, international organizations and civil society. The discussions will seek to advance, in a balanced fashion, the implementation of the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, as well as the Bali Action Plan, agreed at COP 13 in 2007, and the Cancun Agreements, reached at COP 16 last December.
